Saturday Night Action

The Santa Clara Valley Rifle Club’s Action Pistol is a group of people who have been active in the shooting community for many years. We offer a variety of shooting events centering on the safe and proficient use of the handgun. The events are intended to benefit shooters from all levels of experience and shooting ability. The Club provides a fun and safe learning environment, where shooters can come to develop and maintain their skill level with their own firearms. We actively encourage all our members to participate in professional training programs whenever possible. we can refer new shooters to some of the best trainers in the firearms training industry. Our roll is not to compete with the professional firearms trainers. But rather to give interested members of the public a safe place to prepare for up coming classes, and a place to practice skills learned from professional firearms trainers. The courses of fire are designed to develop safe, fast and accurate use of the handgun in a controlled setting.

When: The First and Third Saturdays of each month

Time: 6:00 pm (The event is limited to the first 18 shooters)

Location: San Jose Municipal Firing Range 1580 S. 10th St. San Jose, CA 95123

Open To: Anyone over 18. (Juniors must be accompanied with a parent.)

Equipment:

1. A gun in good condition
2. A holster with a covered trigger guard
3. Four to five spare magazines or speed loaders for a revolver
4. Magazine pouches or speed loader carriers
5. A sturdy belt
6. Eye and ear protection
7. 150 rounds of ammo for your gun (No FMJ ammo is allowed. TMJ is ok)
